Founded and run by the Wegmüller family since 1966, Chantemerle is a private, international boarding school located in Switzerland. Our school welcomes Swiss and international students ages 6 to 18 for academic school year, Study Abroad and Summer programmes.

A Swiss education is an investment in your child’s future. Chantemerle offers a full Swiss academic curriculum from primary to high school.
The matura programme is taught primarily in French, fostering strong language skills. However, it is fully accessible to international students new to French through our intensive French integration programme.
For international students, earning the Matura diploma grants them Swiss student status, allowing automatic admission to all public Swiss universities, including the prestigious EPFL and ETHZ, known for their academic excellence and affordable tuition fees.
The Matura is also highly respected internationally, enabling graduates to pursue higher education in the US, UK, Europe, and beyond.

A solid alternative to the IB diploma
Cambridge programme preparing for IGCSE and A-Levels
Accredited by the Cambridge International Examination Board, Chantemerle offers an international programme in English. Upper secondary prepares students for the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) followed that can be followed by A-Level qualifications.
Students can also join this pathway for one semester or one year as part of an English immersion programme.
The Cambridge International programme is particularly well suited to athletes or performing artists who need the flexibility to follow intensive training and take part in top-level competitions without falling behind in their studies.

With a capacity limited to 65 students, Chantemerle offers an inspiring experience in a healthy and well-balanced family setting. Chantemerle welcomes Swiss and international students as 5-day or 7-day boarders. A day school solution for local families, Chantemerle also welcomes day students from Blonay, Vevey, Châtel St Denis, Montreux, Aigle and the region.

In partnership with professional swiss league clubs and academies, Chantemerle welcomes students athletes who practice sports at a high level, while pursuing an official academic programme preparing either for the Swiss Matura or the Cambridge IGCSE/A level
